Welcome to the Little Gems project!

Scroll down to see the quilts or click on a name in the Makers List to access images of their Little Gems.

The Little Gem Quilts tombola took place at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, and we’re thrilled to report that it raised just over £10,000 for the Quilt Museum and Gallery in York.

Thank you everyone for contributing your Little Gem Quilt — and to all the Little Gems who came along and queued patiently to buy your tombola tickets!

This site will remain active, so that winners of Little Gem Quilts can make themselves known, and so that people who brought their quilts along in person can also submit photographs. With a total of nearly 2000 Little Gem Quilts submitted, quite a few haven’t yet appeared on the website…

Also, have a look at the After FOQ‘ page for ideas about how you can use or display your tombola prize!

You’ll still be able to see the gallery of little quilts made in the Contemporary Quilt group’s 2007 challenge. Information about CQ is on the website of The Quilter’s Guild of the British Isles.

Inspired to make your own Little Gem, and discover the joys of working small? On the How To’s page you’ll find links to websites that will help you with techniques.

IIt’s perfectly lovely. My friend bought some tickets on my behalf and won it. It’s gone to a good home

pass this on to anyone and everyone you know who loves textiles, fabrics and fibres. Add to your links to help spread the word quicker and wider.
